Happy faces all around is what you saw at this year’s annual career day in the park school supply drive, held at the All-kids Park off highway 31 in Athens, AL on Saturday, July 22, 2023, 10 am – 2 pm. The location for the event was perfect says Ms. Tammy Rogers, this year’s programs chairperson. She reported that support for the back-to-school day event was stellar, with over one hundred bookbags distributed to students participating in a well attended event. The committee took in two new members, Carolyn Farrar and Thelma Potts, during the event. The Limestone County Board of Education is an annual contributing supporter of the event. A local business owner, Keke Jones, provided the bookbags and members of the Zeta Sorority were in attendance and contributed school supplies as well.
